That is one of the worst trade proposal I have seen yet. Why in the hell would NJ trade away Nico Hischier & Dawson Mercer, two cornerstone player, for 29 years old Anthony Mantha, Martin Fehervary, Charlie Lindgren and a pick that is going to end up around 20-25th ?
Mantha career high points in a season is 48 and that was 5 years ago. Martin Fehervary is 24 years old and hasn't played that many games yet (182 is not that many) and he's looking like he maybe could be a good player in the future but that is a gamble. Charlie Lindgren is hot right now (before the injury) but goalies are so streaky that you can't really count on that to judge his potential yet. He only has 75 NHL games played in his career and he's 30 years old!

Nico Hischier is a proven player. He's been producing since he came into the league. Just last year he had 80 points in 81 games. And he's only 25 years old.
Dawnson Mercer is really close to what I would call a ''proven player''. He sure is on the right track to be one. 27 goals 29 assists 56 points in 82 games last year at only 21 years old. (He is now 22)

So basically you want to trade a bunch of old/older players that are mid at best for 2 potential NHL stars.
