Time to turn it around. We have rebuilt the pool and gotten younger. Varlamov gets hurt and basically retires. He is so old its only a matter of time but if he is healthy he can backup.

Islanders enter to 95+ point territory comfortably, while Pittsburgh, CBJ, Washington and Phily are at bottom of division. NYR start to regress, as well as Carolina while NJD dominate at the top

Move Mayfield after this season too. Build up his value a bit to get probably a 2nd and B- prospect or so

McCann could put up 60 goals in 24-25 an cost 10x this, or Konecny could put up 40 points next season and only cost 2 mil. Who knows?
