Once the top 2 lines of both F and D need a break and you need to run an energy line, you're in trouble.
To quote Bing-Bong from the movie Inside-Out when he takes the shortcut: "I'm lacking depth!"
You really think they are lacking Depth?? Wheeler and Hagel are on the third line, and both put up 55+ points last year. Kostin is a good all-round player who hits, fights, and can score to round out the line. Also, that 4th line would arguably be the best in the league if Pacs is healthy, Novak was also almost a PPG last year and is solid both ways and Lomberg is a water bug who we all saw can be effective in the playoffs with his speed on the forecheck. I will agree the 3rd pairing could be questionable, but Chatfield looked solid last year with his first full season and giving an opportunity... made it to ECF as a 6th defenseman and lots of people argue it's the best D core in the league between Vegas and CAR, Gio is old but can still move and defend, good for PK and blocking shots, I'm not worried about 3rd pair playing 10-15 mins a night considering the incredible Top 4 and Goaltending.
