Let's be honest with ourselves; the Blues aren't going after a scoring winger on July 1. I'm not a fan of signing Chris Neil, especially for $1M, but it's something I can see Army doing. The 1 year term makes it slightly more palatable. With Berglund out until Dec, Barbashev should see some time centering that third line. Also possible that Schenn and Fabbri swap positions on the second line at some point. Berglund is not on LTIR since Lou Korac doesn't think it's likely they use the cap space until it's absolutely necessary. I have Schmaltz as the 7th D since playing time won't be guaranteed in the AHL this season, but it's possible they use the last $1M in cap space on a veteran D like Polak or Nick Schultz.
