Samsanov and the Leafs have had their arb meeting. There is no more deals to be had. Once the mediator returns with their ruling, Leafs can either accept it, or decline and make him a UFA. They can accept ruling, sign him to the 1 year deal and trade afterwards, but not able to trade him to the Jets beforehand so they can sign him to a 3 year deal. Time to do that was before Friday

Arb ruling can only be 1-2 years, So the Jets can't do 3 years. Treliving isn't giving up Samsonov for a one year rental. Hellebuyck wants to play in the States only. According to Dreger, Friedman and LeBrun so he's not going to commit long term with the Leafs. If Treliving won't give Nylander 8 x $10,000,000 than he's not going to give a 31 year old Connor Hellebuyck 7 x $9,500,000 which is what he's going to want minimally.

Hellebuyck wants to win. I bet he would love southern Ontario! I think he ultimately signs a 5yr 8/8.25 whenever it happens. He would fit with that group. I missed that arb ruling
