Before anyone says anything I saw that the cap space is over for the leafs but id expect other moves to occur as well

moving forward from this year the Leafs don't want to pay a goalie the 10million per year that Hellebucyk feels he deserves. So the Leafs say no.

Robertson likely still has late 3rd/4th round value.

That being said, this doesn't help the leafs cap. I actually don't think it's a horrible trade for the Peg. Samsonov who they can sign long term + a 1st is a decent offer and then adding a cheap Timmins and Robinson as lottery tickets is the kind of move they should make.
