Final Touches
Option A: Pick up a 3rd line Center to allow Haula to play with Jack (Possibly bring back Boqvist to Center the 3rd line?!)
Option B: Pick up a 2nd Line LW while Haula Centers the 3rd line (Tatar is sitting out in FA and could come back on a modest deal)
Option C: Promote from within (ie. Holtz)

Personally I'm a fan of promoting from within, but the Devils need to stick to letting Holtz cook unless he's absolutely awful.

Going into 24-25 the Devils have 2 High Priority players to resign and are projected to have 19.5M in cap space for Toffoli and Mercer.
McLeod, Foote and Schmid are also going to need deals. McLeod and Foote aren't going to cost allot (3M between the two of them)
Schmid's deal will depend largely on how the Devils use him this year and how he preforms. He could be looking at anywhere from a bridge deal to Long Term.
Starting Cap Space $19.5M
Mercer: $6,000,000 x 8
Toffoli: $5,000,000 x 5
Remaining Cap Space for Schmid, McLeod, Foote, UFA's: $8.5M

and Finally a "Way too early" 25-26 outlook will see the Devils with about $13M (if Mercer and Toffoli are signed to term), big contracts for a Goaltender and Luke will be in focus. Too much can happen from now until then though.
