32 out of 32 GM's disagreed. He was just placed on and cleared waivers three days ago.

That's cause they new they could get him for cheaper, because it was no secret he was getting bought out.

He was nearly a half-a-point per game player who was decent defensively. Solid third-line player and those usually cost $3 million.

If any GM thought he was worth $3 million on the market why would they think they could get him cheaper as an unrestricted free agent?

Because he was just bought out. A player who has been bought out has very little bargaining power.

Even if you think he is a little overpaid, there's no rational argument for the buyout.
