So SJ should trade a 3 time Norris winner, 100 point dman , and retain $3m for TJ Brodie who was horrendous last year, Liljegren who's a 5/6 at best, Murray who's overpaid by his whole salary ( Leafs should retain all of it) and Robertson who's played what 15 NHL games, really, you think any GM would make that trade?

That would be like trading Austin Matthews to SJ for Valsic, Benning, Blackwood, Givani Smith and SJ first in 2024 and TML needs to retain $3m of Matthews contract, would you make that trade?

If you think Matthews and Karlsson are in the same universe you should really get yourself checked out.

You also massively undervalue the leafs players. Brodie was a top 5 defensive D last year according to every single public analytics model, ranks as high as 2nd in one. Based solely on 22-23 data.

If you traded Karlsson Lili would be your best D by a wide margin.
