CBJ gets players that can insulate their young players now, they find deal the logjam for a team that might find value in Roslovic's game (he also played UNTDP with Keller).

JT Compher comes to join the UM boys. Ideally he signs cheaper here but this is the Evolving Hockey projection for 3 years. This way his deal lines up with Boone, Laine, Schmaltz and Fantilli's ELCs.

Schmaltz has a very high actual salary that outpaces his cap-hit, but he's the perfect player to insulate Sillinger and/or play with Laine long term. This roster is perfectly fluid throughout the Top 9 and offers a lot of interchangeability should Fantilli or Sillinger be able to outplay their roles.

Voronkov starts down but comes up as soon as we can work out a deal for Foudy or realize that we don't care about losing him.

If the Cap goes up the predicted amount ($87.5 million) CBJ will have approx 15 million to sign Texier, Johnson, Marchenko and Sillinger. This is doable, especially considering we have Gudbranson and Kuraly who can be moved. Provorov will be off the books for Jiricek and Compher/Schmaltz potentially off the books for Fantilli, provided an increasing cap doesn't make it not matter anyway.

This all being said, I think Jarmo's signing of Olivier makes it more likely that the team isn't near the cap with multiple moves. I think it's more likely that Roslovic stays put and only minimal moves are made (I'm here for a pump and dump scheme with Boqvist and Roslovic). For an active GM, he has been sitting on his hands a lot with his drafted prospects. He seems scared to move them until they have been trodden into the dirt.
