Michkov makes so much sense for the Yotes. With Cooley, Guenther, and Geekie all currently projecting to be top 6 NHL regulars in a few years, Michkov is the perfect project for them. They can bottom out next year without Cooley/Michkov/Geekie in the NHL, with the hopes of getting one of the studs from next year. If they end up staying in Arizona, they could potentially sell Matthews on the core they are building and his home state (especially since have the ability/cap to offer a max contract). A top line of Guenther-Matthews-Michkov in a few years could be insane. Even without Matthews, Cooley there will still be fun to watch.

I think my Habs will end up going the Safer route and take Leonard. But AZ can afford to take the risk and draft Michkov, Especially when they also have the 12th pick
