Flyers aren’t taking Campbell. They already have 4 goalies in the org with another probably coming over. That’s 5 goalies if you minus Hart that’s 4 goalies for 4 spots in the NHL and AHL. They can’t take another goalie and u would have to pay more than that to get Hart and dump Campbell

Flyers probably retain 50% in this trade. Maybe even add a prospect or some D depth or something. But Flyers would accept this imo.

The 3rd would be to take on Campbell I would assume. So 2 1sts, a 2nd, and 2 players under 23. Sounds like a good deal. And they can flip one of the goalies and retain $ for more assets.

The flyers just took a 2nd and a top RHD prospect for $8M lol Campbell has $20M left on his deal and he sucks and u think it’s only gonna be a 3rd to move him? Oilers fans are gonna have a rude awakening then when he costs you a 1st ++ to move his contract lol.

OK. Well based on that. Then consider the 25 1st and one of the prospects to take on Campbell. So it would be a 2nd, a 24 1st, and a prospect for Hart? Doesn't really matter how you break it down. I think this is very close to what the Flyers could anticipate getting for Hart. Granted, thats without a bidding war. Though...this trade wouldnt be likely considering the word is that noone will trade for Hart until the release of the report and I believe thats not going to be released until after the draft? I'd much prefer a '23 1st with any trade for Hart, but seems that is not likely.

A bidding war has already started. Flyers insiders reports that the Flyers have already gotten initial offers from multiple teams. The trade is fine if you just remove Campbell but ur going to massively overpay the Flyers to take Campbell if he has to be included

On top of this deal what would you want?

If you include Campbell?

Campbell for a 1st, Brob/Bourg
Hart for 1st, 2nd, Holloway

I think you underestimate how much it’s going to cost to move Campbell I mean he is an AHL level goalie that’s making $5M for the next 4 years. And this is also saying they get less than they want for Hart because they want two 1sts and a top prospect for him. This is just saying what I would be okay with moving him for.

You realize this is very close to what is proposed above, yes? So basically swap out Nieme for Halloway and its a deal. Which I agree, Flyers would accept.

I’m saying that this is if they have to take Campbell which they probably don’t want to do and this is what I would be happy with tho, they reportedly want much more

Flyers aren't shopping Hart, which means they get to set the price. People are bidding, which means packages will become higher. 4 years of Campbell lowers value, he's put up bad numbers and is being paid 5 mil a year for 4 more years. Only way you could get a team to lighten up would be to retain on Campbell, but that defeats the purpose of a cap dump.
