Dont see why not, if that what it takes to get 11th pick. Hoping to trade it right away with maybe Reichel to Philly at 7 and maybe grab Michkov if he drops.

Vancouvers not doing that. Only way your getting 11 is if you take OEL and his full contract

Not according to many sports writers. Van needs cap space bad and theybhave no leverage. Boeser would be ideal but garland could work as well.

I’ll vote when there’s an option for Vancouver to say absolutely not

😂 You actually think the Canucks can move OEL’s contract; $29m in cap space over the next 4 seasons; and only give up the 11th OA pick in this draft?! That’s hilarious, it will cost at least 3 x 1st round picks to make someone want to take that full contract.

A team like Chicago won’t be good for 5 years even with bedard so they shouldn’t have a problem taking it and hoping that he either improves his play or they could just retain half of it and flip him to any of the teams that would be interested in him at under 4m. Especially if it means they move up and get another top end prospect for when they’re ready to compete

You understand owners didn’t get rich by being stupid right? $29m for one 1st round pick is awful value and hoping OEL improves enough that you can move him for additional picks is not enough incentive to make it worthwhile. It will take one 1st round pick/high level prospect per $7m cap space moved.

No amount of draft picks can remotely convince me to take OEL

You do know every team has to reach the cap floor right… Chicago has to spend money on someone

You obviously missed Davidson’s press conference(s) where he mentioned he has absolutely no concern with reaching the cap floor or he has no interest in long term deals that will restrict the Hawks cap flexibility moving forward. No chance he takes on a deal longer than three years unless there are huge benefits for the Hawks. One 1sr t round pick for arguably the worst contract in the league isn’t even close to enough.

The Hawks will have no problem spending their money, there are a lot of more palatable bad contracts to take on, especially if there are no benefits to the Hawks attached to them.
