    If the Pens could get Bonino at $3M/yr and Daley at $2.5M/yr. while keeping Maatta wouldn't that be better?

    yeah that would be better but Bonino isn't signing for 3 mil. easily 4 plus especially since JR said to go test the market and then circle back to all his UFAs.

    That is a lot to give up for someone penciled in as a 3rd line center and a promising yet unproven defenseman. Edmonton wont eat cap space on Nugent Hopkins for 4 years because of upcoming contracts to Mcdavid and Draisaitl.
    Would rather try to sign bonino at 4mil or acquire a cheaper 3rd line center. Nugent Hopkins would be a great addition but cap and asset wise can't see it working out
