I really like Barrie's game but i think that might be a bit of an overpayment.

I can't see having Soderberg as a 4th line center when Sundqvist is a much cheaper option. unless you think colorado only trades barrie if someone takes soderberg as well to get him off their books.

That was my reasoning. COL wouldn't want to pay a 4C 4.5 million. And I personally don't think Sundqvist will pan out tbh. He has never impressed me.

Five Stars because it's well thought out as a exercise. However, practically speaking it has problems. $7M/yr. for a third D pairing is really really expensive. But that's not a criticism just pessimism.

Schultz at nearly $5M is way too high in my opinion. He's elevated in everyone's mind because he played so much in Letang's absence. He'll either come in much lower ($3.8/yr.) or be traded (this would be my guess, not my wish).

You'd prefer Brendan Smith at $3M/yr. over Daley at same price?
