Drouin will get 6 per year, but I dont think they sign Radulov to 7. If he demands that much they will let him walk.

the same could be said about Galchenyuk, no? i wouldn't call it a gross overpayment. I'd call it a fair trade for both sides, but since Sami is hurt maybe the Ducks throw a 2nd or 3rd MTL's way on similar conditions as the Drouin deal. If Vats plays in 40 or more games then no pick is sent.

Personally, I think Vatanen isn't as good as advertised. He's been sheltered behind one of the best pairings in the league (Lindholm and Montour), and he will be coming off of a significant shoulder injury. He'd be a great 2nd or 3rd pairing guy who gets a lot of powerplay time, but playing him on your top pairing may be a mistake.
