1.PENS wont give you 2rnd for Cammallieri and his CAP
2. Stars need defenseman not forwards, they would not make that deal
3. Why woulndt you protect more in expansion draft?
4. WILD would not give you Niederreiter for that.
5. Even if you would be able to get that pick from STARS, Carolina would not want to give you Hany, maybe Faulk, but NJD does not need him.

NJD should have traded Schneider to STARS for 1st(3rd overall) + Honka + Niemi, before they signed Bishop.

and you cant trade Kovy before 2017 Draft ... so that Dallas deal makes no sense

I agree on some of these fronts, but why trade your best player in Schneider? He's the only reason why NJ hasn't finished in last place the last few years. And i disagree, NJ does need Faulk. Hanifin won't come at the price offered here, but you could pry a young Haydn Fleury away from Carolina.

The problem the devils have right now is that they already have two centers with great potential in their hands with Zacha and McLeod. Why backlog it with another in Hischier or Patrick unless you think one of those other two won't be your future number one? If Hischier, Patrick, and McLeod were all in the same draft, you could make the argument for McLeod over the other two. Just my two cents
