A look at the habs line up right now without making any moves (aside from resigning).

This is a solid line-up without even making any additions. If habs can add one more top 6 forward or an elite D it would have a huge impact.

A lot of themes right now:

- Plekanec and a 2nd to vegas....... Why!? Habs are already weak at center and he was there best center by the end of playoffs. He has good chemistry with byron and is used heavily with no offensive or powerplay time.

- Trade Beaulieu... even I have participated in this because I feel with all of montreal's depth at D he is expedable however I really don't know what Jerabek can bring. Montreal wants a player for weber and Beaulieu is the best candidate. When markov was hurt and Beaulieu stepped up he had 11 pts in 19 games.. a pace of 50 pts. At the beginning of the year when weber was lighting it up he was paired with Beaulieu.. when he was put with emelin the offense obviously dried up. It's mind blowing to me how beaulieu went from Webers partner to healthy scratch in the last game of the year even with the stats to back him up... Terrible management of this player.

- Trade Emelin.... it makes sense if there is a more justified use of the cap to lose Emelin's salary especially if the habs have Benn. However he would be a good player to partner with sergachev and in a reduced role he would be tougher to play against.

- Trade galchenyuk... again why? He had a bad finish to the season but he was the teams best offensive player before getting hurt. He will bounce back he should be resigned long term.

Looking at how decent this lineup is without even making any moves should make any worried fans more confident in this roster.
