Why would that affect the price? Arizona does not have to trade him at all, he's got 2 more seasons under contract after this one. Time is on the Coyote's side

LOL, no it isn't because Arizona is under no pressure to trade him. They can wait until the draft or just keep him another season.

I feel like sitting a dude for two weeks straight prior to the deadline is a pretty strong sign they'd like to trade him now. That's not a move that makes a player happy to stay.

Agree with you there but their are still quite a few teams with the cap and assets to acquire Chychrun. Ottawa, LA, Washington are right there

He requested a trade a while ago, but I highly doubt AZ GM is worried about how happy he is, he wants to maximize the return.
