For Anaheim, moving up a round and a half at the end of next next draft is so generous. The Ducks are simply eating $3.1M AAV in an unprecedented static era of the hard cap and rewarding a whiny prospect that cost a fourth round pick.

Likewise, Columbus graciously accepts “Cliffy,” quite useful as he’ll be a free agent in two months. I know CBJ *said* they wanted a 1st, 3rd, and 4th, but forget about the silly 3rd. Besides, BOS picks are special in their predictability this year, guaranteed to be at the back of each round. Oh I agree, we Boston fans are an obnoxious bunch. I wasn't commenting on the whole offer, just the piece I liked. From all reports I've seen deal is Gavrikov for Boston's 1st and 3rd, with the holdup being Bruins needing to move Smith to clear space. Elliotte Friedman seems surprised it's not done. Do you think that's a fair return for him? Maybe it's a 2024 or 2025 1st when we might be worse?

From what I've read on Gavrikov he is Carlo like in that he is a big body who doesn't play too physical?
