I know, it's not going to happen, but hear me out.

The Canucks select Cody Glass at 5th overall, but he won't be ready for the bigs for at least a year or two.

So why not make a splash and try to lure Jumbo away from NoCal for a hefty chunk of cash? It doesn't cost any players or draft picks to try. With the Sedins' salaries coming off the books in a year the team has all kinds of cap flexibility, and offering Joe a Gillis/Sundin type of deal could provide some entertaining hockey and he could help mentor some of the young guys.
