I'd probably rather have Vermette over Bonino honestly and definitely over Thompson. I don't see Vatanen being enough for Drouin either. More likely Palat if I had to guess. I think bringing Eaves back is a waste of money. Likelihood he repeats half of that production is pretty low.

I don't think Eaves is a waste of money if he plays with Getzlaf. He just needs to put home 20-25 goals and we are good.

With a deal to Tampa depends on how far off they are with their players. I would prefer Johnson and put Rakell on the wing where he is more dynamic but Rakell wants to play center.

I just like Thompson as a player. He is a tough guy but I see where you are coming from. If we need a center I think Bonino fits in well for us.

Yeah Bonino could be a fit I'm not arguing that I just think he won't be worth the money over his contract. Also, I know Eaves just needs 20-25 goals to be worth it but he's done it twice in his long career - this year with ANA/DAL and once his rookie year with OTT. He's never even played more than 65 games since his second season in the league until this year. Just think bringing Eaves back is a bad idea when chances are you get 50 games out of him and 10-15 goals.
