Not sure if I'm a fan of either of those trades. We need to get younger, and by trading Duchene to Montreal for Plekanec (34 years old), Scherbak, Sergachev, and a first rounder, Montreal would have to be out of their mind to gove up that much for Duchene and Lindholm. Jason Garrison is also a defenseman who's years could be limited. Barrie should continue to be apart of the defensive core along with Johnson. I'm fine with trading Comeau though. I like the signing of Jonathan Drouin He seems to be a popular name floating around Denver, re-uniting with Nathan MacKinnon also a former Halifax Moosehead. The Avs should protect Pickard in my opinion, but Budaj is a nice welcome home signing as a backup. He played fairly well the last part of the season as well.
