Description

Not sure why anyone who knows how a cap works thinks trading assets for chychrun is a good idea unless they acknowledge keeping power and dahlin might be too much money to lock in defense. I think we can keep both a reasonable enough salaries with the cap climbing but will definately need to keep some cheap bottom pair guys that can get the job done hanging around.
Chychrun will probably be cheaper than dahlin or power so if you wanna try and stay under 40% cap devoted to d (theres 1/2 as many dmen as forwards) its not a horrible idea.

Im a sabres fan, and it was your chychrun trade that made concider trading anything with arizona, just looking fir somthing realalistic. I mean will anyone actually provide critisism that defines powers value in this? Would you rather dahlin? What do you even want chychrun for if you have those two anyway? Your going to trade assets for bottom three d playing his off side and then what trade him to some one in a few years for less cuz you cant afford him? Are we on a cup run?

If you somehow had to trade Power, return has to be Chychrun + Logan Cooley at min. Power just went #1 overall

The cap is supposed to jump 4 mill this year after the players pay off their escrow, then add 1 mill (based on average) per season, thats an extra 6 mill in ceiling, the Sabres are technically under the floor without Bishop, Okposo coming off the books negates the majority of Cozens deal, Olofsson and Mittlestadt probably gone too, so you'll have 40 - 50 mill for like 4 players and a lot of depth still on elcs

We will have money for Dahlin and Power and Chychrun. And we have already signed two very lucrative contracts with Samuelsson and Thompson. Power isn't going anywhere.
