I think your signing values are accurate, Daley might still command a little more on the open market but maybe he takes a discount to play on a contender.
The Green trade is reasonable. The other 3 transactions would be quite a stretch IMO.
Specifically I don't get your logic if you're NYI trading for Eberle. Why trade two top 6 players with affordable cap hits next year for one top 6 forward whose value is low after a terrible playoff debut. NY can't handcuff themselves to $6mil the year after next without knowing how much they'll have to pay JT. And don't say, "give us Hamonic instead" lol. The Hamonic trade request has long passed and he too is an affordable cap hit for a top 4 Dman. I'm willing to bet the NYI have declined that offer multiple times in the past 18 months.
I agree that the Oil need to move on from Ebs but I think the only way he isn't an Oiler next year is through a buyout. His value is super low with that cap hit. What do you think about exposing him for Vegas? Just the freed up cap space alone should be counted as a good enough return.
Personally if I'm MTL Gally and his affordable contract are not on the trade block. I'm guessing they will target a centre like Hanzal through FA rather than a trade for one. And if they do go after one through trade I'd target Duchene over RNH.(thoughts Habs fans?)
Thanks Dylan!
