Montour isn't the one getting dealt here he's expansion exempt, It's going to Vatanen pretty sure of that.

lol yeah I took a shot in the dark with Streit.. no idea what he would command as a free agent given his age. I was just looking to sign a veteran, bottom-pairing defenseman but I suppose the Leafs could just bring back Hunwick.

This post wasn't to fix Anaheim's Expansion Draft concerns on defense. Another team can fix it for them. Just wanted to put together a deal that I thought was fair for both sides.

I'd prefer Dermott over either. If they want to win, they should go run and gun offense. An older blueliner won't help them

Problem with this is Ducks are not going to trade a Top 4 ELC for a PROSPECT with few NHL playing time. Montour will net a MUCH higher return.

Yeah Badger, Hunwick and or even Polak bring a much different needed skill set, are younger and cheaper! Unless Toronto can actually bring in a 1/2 guy with PP quarterbacking potential, I think they have more than enough guys with offensive side. REILLY Zaitsev, Gardiner, long term Dermott, and the new Swedes! May need to bring in some toughness and defensively responsible Dmen!
BadgerMustache a aimé ceci.

You Ducks fans are absolute killers on this site. Your top 4 changes almost daily, and every one of your players apparently is worth the world. Get real. Kapanen is an excellent prospect and I firmly believe that this trade is fair for both sides.

haha Ducks fans change their minds but Kapanen is somehow a top winger in the NHL apparently and hasn't even played 20 games. This trade is robbery and not even close to value. If you want to move Kapanen then a more realistic trade would be for Welinski or Larsson - those guys are prospects for the Ducks. You aren't trading for a kid that played on the top pair with Lindholm for Kapanen even if you think taking a cap dump of Stoner is trying to even it out
