Miller is not a fit for us. Not getting older and paying a 30 yr old 8M+ a year for 6-7 years. Haven't we learned out mistakes already??? Enough, Miller is not taking us over the top. Not trading anymore 1st rounders. We have dealt 3 of the last 4 1st rounders and what do we have to show for it??? STOP!

The Miller ship has sailed, as today was extremely convincing that Kadri is an Islander. The remaining questions are simply this:
-Who is being shipped out?
-Who is moving to wing?
-Can the Isles squeeze in one more d-man?

If Isles trade Bailey for SG (50% retained) then I really believe they don't have to make any moves at the deadline and can ride this roster to the playoffs.

(They wouldn't even have the cap space to add someone at the deadline anyways, pending every one being healthy)

I'm still not convinced he's signing here. We still don't have any credible sources saying this. By the way, if its for more than 3 yrs it's a horrible move. Kadri does not fit. You are moving one of our center (Brock or Brazal) I guess to wing and you are going to PISSE THIS OFF BAD!! Why would you want to piss of Brock who scored 38 goals at center last year??? Why would you piss off your face of the franchise player in Brazal? So piss him off so he decides not to resign next year. And all for what? Signing a 32 yr old Kadri? Really? Does this sound like great management.

So what if it's Pageau being shipped out? I have to do the research but I did read somewhere that Pageau/Nelson/Barzal shared very similar minutes on ice last season. So if Brock moves to 3C is it so bad? He may face weaker competition and dominate even more.

FYI - Adrian Dater, COL's main writer, found today's source to be credible enough to write that it's probably a done deal, too...

lol, seriously? Now you want to demote Brock who was your leading scorer to a 3rd line center? Just to bring in Kadri? So you are planning on giving Brock less minutes now. Because he won't play as much if he's on the 3rd line. It doesn't make sense, it doesn't add up. We don't need another center. This is why Lou freaking needs to be fired. Since he took over, he told the media that he needed to upgrade the offense and get a sniper for Brazal. So 3 years later we are still searching and he's answer to to bring in another center who's 32 and going to want to get overpaid.
