Change the pick to something in a lower round if that would be more accurate. They need bodies to play in the lineup and he is a pending UFA going into this season. Can be flipped at the deadline for another asset that CHI would want (i.e. pick or prospect).

I think we end up dealing his RFA rights. Just don't see where he fits in at this point.

Kerfoot won't get back more than a 2nd at the trade deadline. You're justifying your trade to suit your flawed narrative. There's zero reason for Chicago to make this trade.
