- stacked top line. Nylander gets the opportunity to play with guys closer to his skill level like he deserves. His speed and skill could be utilized to the fullest with these guys who can keep up with him compared to Tavares.
- 2nd line with guys who would mesh very well with Tavares’ style. Separating JT and Willy like this should be able to get the best out of both of them
- Giordano next to Rielly makes so much sense. Not only is his playstyle match what Rielly really needs, but moving Gio to the right side also allows Sandin to get his full time spot on the left side back. If Gio doesn’t want to play RD, then one of Sandin, Rielly, or Muzzin would need to move to the right side, but I believe having Giordano there makes the most sense.
- Sandin gets a comparable contract to Adam Boqvist, which is apparently what he’s looking for (might not be fully true but that’s what I heard from someone online)
- Larsson added to complete the bottom 6. This bottom 6 forward group has speed and a ton of defensive ability and hard forechecking. Both lines perfectly create the successful modern day bottom 6.
To whichever teams for picks. Casualties of the cap crunch and lack of spots in Toronto, but both are still very useful players. Kerfoot a versatile middle 6er coming off a career year, and Holl a good 4/5 d man who plays ~20 mins a night and gets far far too much hate (Gardiner treatment)
Then capfriendly lied ig lol. I thought he did too but he was available here. I just searched it up and apparently he’s signed there but not official yet I guess? Not sure tho
