I don’t really know what else you need to add to a Marino/Gurianov swap so I assumed it would be Dallas adding somewhere in the range of a late 2nd/early 3rd.

25 yr old RHD locked up to a very nice contract for the next 5 seasons is exactly what Dallas needs. Will they ever do something like this? I absolutely doubt it. It’s too bold for Nill and co. I’m surprised they even signed Marchment yesterday

I do think they defense the Stars currently have today isn’t bad, but it also isn’t great. I believe it’s a playoff like defense but not a cup winning defense. A trade like this can shoot them into that tier
