vans hope is to get back young players with bright futures and a rhd and a pick. 2nd oa is nice but you dont get that certainty that slafkovsky/wright will pan out and van doesn’t fill any of their needs (defence)

Personally I think that's a little over paying for Miller. Especially since we're also freeing a cap hit in this deal.

Yes could have clarified my comment, I guess I am already thinking it is the new hockey year. Miller is pending FA in 2023.

Given he is a year away from FA I am not giving all that up. Yzerman will go along as he has building thru draft, and farm system

Yzerman is GM of the Red Wings. Tom Fitzgerald is GM of the Devils.

Sorry there was another trade where Yzerman was trading for JT and giving up a way o much. Got confused between posts.

Still do not see Miller getting the 2nd overall.pick
