Ahh yes, a guy who can't seem to put together a healthy season and a future 2nd round pick. Such a steep price for a 1st pair guy...

I don’t think we’re going to get a much better offer so I’d accept this. I’d rather grab this deal now than lose him in FA for nothing. Not sure he gets much more at the deadline. With his injury history he very well could end up hurt and not moveable at the deadline. Russo mentioned on a recent podcast that there have been no contract talks and he (Russo) doesn’t see Dumba re-signing here.

The previous ask for Dumba has been a first and a good prospect. I’d accept a 2nd and a former top 10 pick. Especially one that’s a C.

To be fair Dumba has quite the injury history as well. And extremely debatable about “first pair guy”. If he was a legitimate first pair guy, you’d think teams would be beating down the door for him, especially being a RHD. that R1 and a good prospect ask by BG for 2 years would’ve been met… just saying.

Lindholm literally just got 1st+2nd+2nd. Chiarot got 1st+4th+prospect. Dumba should get somewhere between those two trades.

I've seen Wild fans go bat **** crazy about how injury prone Dumba is and that's why we should trade him. He's been fully healthy 2 of the last three years. Mittelstadt missed 42 games this year, 15 games the year before, and 38 games the year before that. The guy might be worth taking a shot on if that 2023 2nd was instead the 2022 Florida 1st round pick.

I don’t think the league values Dumba as in the same category as those two. Otherwise he wouldn’t be on the Wild right now as our reported ask is less than those two deals, a 1st and a prospect. I think your value of Dumba is much higher than what his actual value is in the League (as proven by no one trading for him).

Then maybe we should keep Dumba and sign him for less AAV if others think he isn't that great. I'd much prefer to trade other pieces than get a garbage return on Dumba.

And that’s probably why Buf is willing to trade Middlestat, his play has improved. Potential top 6 C’s are hard to get, they hold a ton of value. Dumba plays through injuries, probably when he shouldn’t. He hasn’t been the same player since his first pec injury. And he has missed games, 25 this year, had a lucky Covid year, 13 the year before. He is tough, I’ll give him that. But if he had as much value as you’re saying, he wouldn’t be on the Wild right now. Guys with that much value are traded for, not dangled for over 2 years.

I couldn’t disagree anymore. I tend to agree with everyone else in this case and not you. Thankfully Russo is saying we’re not re-signing him. I’ll be curious to see what his FA value is.

And based on Russo’s latest poll, most people agree with me, it’s time to trade Dumba. 61.7% says to trade Dumba, 26% keep for final season, and 12.3% days extend him.

If Fiala is traded, would you still trade Dumba if it opens cap space to pursue a top-six forward or center in free agency or trade?

Yes 76.3%
No 23.7%

Looks like most fans agree too.

You realize the way the question is asked leads the viewer right to the trade answer, right?

Would you rather have Dumba or the cap to pursue a center? Fans are desperate for a center worth a damn.

Would should the Wild do with Dumba who has 1 year left on his contract? "Oh ****, he's got one year left on his deal? Trade him so we at least get something!"

Deflection, I expected that. You really do love Dumba. Will you be a Wild fan when he’s gone?

The first question is open ended without the pollster leading the reader. Still majority of people want Dumba gone either by trade or leaving in FA. Sorry man, you’ve got a minority opinion here, in the fan base and around the league.

You're seriously being pathetic with this.

Most Wild fans would prefer trading Dumba to bring back Fiala. That can easily explain the first question's response.

I think people like you will get a serious kick in the ass when Dumba is gone. 14-9-2 without Dumba. 39-13-5 with Dumba.

Pathetic by using statistics showing the Wild fan base doesn’t want Dumba anymore? Okay Lol.

No, Most people want Dumba gone, regardless of Fiala. fans don’t want Dumba around anymore. They watch him play and see his glaring mistakes and how Brodin saves his bacon over and over again.

That pathetic stat again? SMH. Go into detail on who else was missing from both teams lineups, what was the opposing teams record we played during those games. Then you might actually have a useful stat.

MN will be a better team when Dumba is gone. Hopefully that is sooner rather than later.

No, you're being pathetic by suggesting my fandom is based on whether or not Dumba is on the team. Do you get easily triggered by dissenting opinions?

You're definitely bull****ting now and not worth further response in this thread.

It was a simple question, seems like that simple question Triggered you, not me. I’ve got facts and the majority opinion on my side, I’m calm as a cucumber 😎.

That’s not bulls**** at all, that’s the truth. And the majority of people I play hockey with agree. My friends who coach and scout for junior teams agree as well. 🤷🏻‍♂️.

You haven't presented a single stat or fact other than showing a survey with two leading questions.

Here are some actual facts:

Fact: Guerin loves Dumba. He's raved about him since he got the job. Tell me, which one of you or your friends is GM of the Wild? That's right.
Fact: Dumba is second on the team in xGF%.
Fact: Dumba is #3 on the team in p/60 despite getting way less offensive zone starts than the two above him.
Fact: Brodin-Dumba pull through at 53% GF% when out against other team's top players. Tossing that away for a guy who will miss a huge chunk of the season and a future 2nd is some brain dead logic.

BG has also been trying to trade Dumba for over 2 years. And now won’t be re-signing him according to reports (Russo). You’re grossly overrating him. Very few MN fans agree with you.

I watch the games, he’s often one of our worst defenseman playing.

Brodin eliminates the top players, Dumba has very little to do with it. Dumba is constantly out of position and a TO machine.

Not only my friends, I skate with a very diverse group of people. Someone is definitely triggered lol. It ain’t me.

XGF% I’m very skeptical of if Dumba is rated that highly. Who is rating those scoring chances for /against? Because that doesn’t pass the eye testing when you watch Dumba play. Brodin helps Dumba because he’s allowed to get away with mistakes that Brodin covers up.

Offensive zone starts might be useful if we had centers who could win draws… often that’s a loss and our offensive start is on defense.

Why do you think you’re the GM of the wild? Needlessly defending Dumba pretending he’s something he’s not. You can pretend to know the wild will be worse without Dumba, but that’s your opinion, not a fact. I think the wild will be better without the mistake prone Dumba, nothing you say will change that. I believe this is exactly how our last Dumba conversation Went. And I’m sure how our next Dumba conversation will go.
