I am shocked a NYR fan created this trade proposal. First off, Panarin isn't waiving his NMC, he's arguably your best player (Igor, Fox) and the Rangers have that window right now and in the next 3 years. I understand trying to get Cozens to possibly be a #1 center which you dont have, but this doesn't make sense for NYR plus the return is not that great.

I know he wouldn't waive his NMC. Just some conversation Ranger fans have been having on Facebook During the playoffs Panarin couldn't find room to play his best game. The ice shrinks in the playoffs. He may not be a playoff guy. The return should have included the 2023 1ST round. That is my fault. I messed up when I made the purposed trade. This opens up cap space to sign Copp, Kakko, Motte. Next year the Rangers have Miller, Lafreniere to sign. Plus the Rangers still would have money and some other assets to possibly get Scheifele for the number 2C for the next 2 years. By then Cozens would be ready to be the 2C

Its funny. Im not a Rangers fan at all, but did root for them to beat PIT and TB. I did notice the Breadman did not deliver in the playoffs and I was wondering how long before Rangers fans wanted to sell him off. Sorry but I hope the Flyers find a way to sign Copp!

The fans just don't want to throw him away, it's the Rangers are stacked on LW. Gorton out bid himself when he signed Panarin. Panarin said he was only going to the Rangers and Gorton gave him 11.6 mill per. The Copp trade wasn't a rental type trade. It was a sign trade

Even if Panarin would accept that trade it would make zero sense for Buffalo to trade Cozens. They are an extremely young team and he's a part of their future core. Panarin is a great player but his contract would be close to done by the time the Sabres would theoretically hit their stride or be in their playoff window if things all work out for them.

Kinda goes against what the Sabres are trying to do by building a young core.

Mika is easily a 1C. Cozens would be lucky if he hits that level
