That 2nd trade is bad. And be really surprised if Florida took that. I would love Lundell but that's some cap to take on. I might consider it because Bob's contract probably doesn't hurt us until year 3. I mean we have 21.6m just to hit the floor next year and it's not much less the year after.

damn that florida trade would rock. Feel like we would need to give up a little more to get lundell out of that. A better draft pick probably idk.

I'd be glad to get Lundell on our team, but I think that Florida won't dump him to get rid of others if that makes sense. I also think that they wouldn't be to keen on such a wholesale change of their presidents trophy winning roster, but I think something that could be more manageable for them keeping their end of the trade the same would be us sending over Mittlestadt and their 1st back to them. It gives them back a cheaper middle 6 center option to replace Lundell and gives them back what I would think could be a very valuable pick to them given their lack of draft capital over the next 3 years.

I guess I'm just thinking that we are getting 3 useful pieces in positions of need and they are getting nothing, but cap relief. Which don't get me wrong they could really use, but the UFA goalie market is pretty barren so they'd almost have to be counting on getting Kuemper. At least Mittlestadt would be a player they can actually play on their third line along with the 28OA pick say somebody like Ryan Chesley or something, I think then they could live with it.

I feel like at the bare minimum they'd still need a 1B for a few years. Although I didn't realize that Knight did play over 30 games this year...

Regardless, I think that Mitts would still need to at least be a part of the return for them to fill at least one hole that they would create cheaply

I would do if I am Sabres, waiving Bobrovsky in summer 2024 or 2025 is not bad option, if cap space would be needed.

With a little tweaks:
- that 2nd round pick most likely will be 50+, but still would prefer to have it, just in case VGK flops. Maybe Ruotsolainen and 4th 2023 or 3rd in 2024
- definately not waiving Hornquist. Trade him away with retention and get some picks in return.

Pass on 2nd deal.
