Toronto gets 4 mil in cap with 50% retention on Miller which would allow them to re-sign Campbell or even upgrade on him potentially. Plus the first is just a trade down which I don't think they hate with how they have been drafting well in late rounds (like Niemela). Miller is also a clear upgrade on Nylander with the sandpaper they need and even can play center with Tavares turning into a winger. They're in win-now mode with AM34 only having one more year before a decision needs to be made with re-signing, which lines up with an expiring Miller contract. Obviously the Canucks get younger + faster + replenish the cupboard with Niemela hopefully turning into a top 4 RHD which is all huge needs. Nylander only has one more year than Miller on his contract as well which kind of puts them in the same boat.
