You're not winning a cup with this roster. Don't listen to others. IMO you're overpaying for Duchene.

The only player that could be considered a "scrap" there is Plekanec. Perhaps do some research into other teams young players before making such judgements? We aren't trading you a Duchene for a Duchene.

Yeah I mean I think Lehkonen will be a 20 goal scorer next year , which is basically what Duchene put up -not saying they are of similar calibre but Lehkonen is a long-term top six forward. Beaulieu and Davidson are full-time d-men right now and they still can both develop into solidified top-4 in their careers. Plekanec is definitely not adding much value to the trade but Colorado will need some veteran guys to fill the roster if they are doing a rebuild.

Give me an effective 4th line centre that will come in under the cap on a short-term deal. I wouldn't say having him temporarily filling the 4th line centre position is "the answer"
