I think he means lottery protected as in the actually winners of the lottery which are only the top-3 teams.

I like the idea but I'd rather give winnepeg all the picks from the green trade. I would also rather burry Ericsson in the minors and have him play the back to back games to unintentionally but intentionally get him to ltir retire because of hips with the way an ahl schedule. I like the basis of your deals though
