Not yet. Lets do some stats.
:2003 had/has
50410 man games played.
21883 points so far.
8,554 Goals so far.

So yes, projected over the next roughly 10 years 2015 will likely surpass 2003. It's not "already" better. For anyone too young to see Eric Staal, Ryan Getzlaf, Joe Pavelski, Brent Burns, Thomas Vanek, Brent Seabrook Zach Parise etc in their primes would not fully understand how good 2003 was. It wasn't just the best NHL draft (so far) it was one of the best drafts in all of sports.

I just still can't believe we got Kaprizov in the fifth round. I get the Russian thing and what not but what I'm saying is it's just crazy that us Wild fans got to witness a 5th round pick becoming our very first legitimate superstar. Gaborik was a damn good player but he was not in the same category. That was a great draft overall and for the Wild, we got Eriksson Ek, Greenway and Kaprizov in 2015. Great to see that trio become the future core of this franchise.

I'm really hoping Guerin and Brackett can keep building on top of that, which looks promising with Boldy up and coming, Rossi and Wallstedt bolstering the top spots for prospects. Then you look at potential guys like Khusnutdinov, O'Rourke, Lambos etc. I'm just having a hard time believing this isn't a dream. 20 years of mediocrity has really been a buzz kill.
