Description
So this is fantasy, please don't nit-pick on small margins (Duchene is way to hard to speculate "true" value on, and the same for some other contracts)

Center is fixed - face off % goes way up and puck possession too, as well as adding scoring touch
Get Duchene, to me this is within the realm of fair: a young good center and good prospect on defense (the deal hinges on Juulsons perceived value) as well as relatively high picks (could be 2019 if they don't like the 2018 draft). Wiggle room on adding picks of course.
Hanzal is signed for term and reasonable cap, The market could see him in the 5 mil maybe (Habs just can't really justify that, but he's getting good cap and term so I see this as possible).

Montreal resists the desire to get rid of Galchenyuk (him and others always have really strong starts, if we wanted to move him then wait until his value is actually up!), to me great chance he flourishes as a winger and adds to our scoring.
Beaulieu is traded to Dallas which clearly could use defense, Shore is a nice prospect who adds to the depth down the middle. With this and everything else I can't say with certainty how the expansion draft goes, Pleky might be a target IDK. As well, Beaulieu might be a bit hard to move again IDK - no one does - but I can see those 2nd round picks being used to grease the wheels on making the below thread happen.

My opinion on both Radulov and Markovs contracts is that they both take term over higher cap, 6 mil is fair and a good term for Radulov; Markov gets 2 years instead of just one at a lower cap than he would otherwise be owed. This means he will likely retire a hab!!

Congrats to you I think you did a really good job! I value the players contracts very similarly to you however one thing I would say is I think Radulov will get more term @ that salary or more salary @ that term. There aren't a lot of high quality free agents this offseason but I'm really hoping montreal can bring shipachev over from the KHL. I would much rather prefer him over Hanzal.

If montreal could get duchene for that package I would do it he would completely solve there issues at C. It is a lot to give up so I think it is fair value but be prepared for the comments mentioning "no sergachev and or galchenyuk? no deal"

More thoughts on this.. since you are trading Beaulieu anyway perhaps he should be included in the deal for Duchene? I know the avalanche are looking for a high quality young dman and I think Beaulieu holds more value then Juulson. I'm unfamiliar with the prospect from Dallas so I don't know if Beaulieu is required for that move or not, anyways just a thought.

I like what you did at center there, Duchene needs to be the prime target for sure, and Hanzal could be a solid two way #2. Difficult to judge Duchene's value but I doubt any GM will move a young D of Sergachev or Hanifin's calibre, so a 2nd tier prospect is more realistic. Depends what Sakic thinks of Juulsen and whether he can find something better elsewhere I guess. I think the aav and term for Radu is spot on, anything more would be pushing it imo

I still see some issues at D with this team though. I like Markov but I'm not sure he's well suited to go to battle in the playoffs on the top pair anymore, I think a more mobile d-man is needed next to Weber. Hopefully Sergachev can fill that void as soon as next season but that might be wishful thinking. Markov-Petry never really seemed to click either, and Benn to me is a third pair guy... As much as we need offense, I think the D needs an overhaul also

A for effort!! But this team is still not good enough to contend for the cup. I like Hanzals size but he doesn't play like 6'6. I'd pay him 4 mill to be my 3rd line center if anything. Also he gets injured often. Pacioretty and Galchenyuk disappointed me in the playoffs and not cause of the goal scoring, cause they're soft and can't win board battles. No gritt

Agree with texus8 on the defence need to find a way to get markov on the 2nd pairing hopefully a defenceman is available at the TDL because I think it could be a challenge to add one in the offseason... sergachev will hopefully be able to replace Beaulieu but can't be expected to do more than that.

So thanks for the feedback! Yes I agree that the defense was something I was not entirely sure of, however I would say that I took a liberty with regards to Sergachev. Him being what has been lacking, offensive and sound two-way. It is my opinion that the top pairing is one suited to each other, skilled and dangerous but not a 30 minute pair for the regular season. Need to see chemistry with Petry and I've loved Benn so far, we would see obviously (I'll take the defense being our weakness, at the end of the day if the improvements down the middle help the offense as it should and we have a healthy Price then we're good).
As far as Beaulieu, I agree it might be a consideration for Colorado - I like Shore because he's a safer contract (RFA) that has put up 30+ points on Dallas so to me I'd take him if it was doable. That said, of course the main goal was Duchene so if Sakic wants Beau then it'd be in the cards. I honestly didn't like how everyone doing fantasy would just throw him in, stand alone Beaus value is good and Dallas definitely wants help on D.

Also with regards to Radulov I agree he could probably make more and maybe 5 years instead of 4 at 6 definitely, however I'd point out: he's a 54 point producer, and did have his ups/downs in a Habs jersey this year (along with the team). As recently as Game 1, he was being talked about as maybe not getting an extension due to his play, of course that changed but it's to say he hasn't been so consistent. Regarding his cap, I'd say I did select 6 for a reason, best comparison is Plekanec (average of 50+ points and lifelong hab and he's a center, gets 6 at good term, also Markov in a similar consideration as a Defense). Beyond that, the best players on this team are Price & Weber, earning more for their own reasons (Webers was handuffed by arbitration).
Can Radulov put up more points? I think yes, especially in my fantasy thread working with either Hanzal or Duchene and maybe even more so if he had Chucky Duchene Radulov on our top line. But the fact remains for me, Montreal can offer him what's competitive and fair at 6 for 5, if he wants more because he can make more then it'll be sad to see him go. I don't believe that more will prove to be supported in his future production.
