Over payments on both deals, Gio and Pysyk would be sick though. Gio w/ retention goes for a 1st + prospect or third, pysyk goes for a depth pick GMs around the league don't seem to value him a ton.

At least Gio is good. That Buffalo trade is nuts. A decent prospect an NHL defenceman and a 4th for a 7/8 Defenceman is just dumb

It's an overpayment, but Pysyk is better than dermott

Sure. Because a guy with great underlying numbers on a top team is definitely worse than a depth guy on a terrible team. That's capfriendly logic

Pysyk is the ideal depth guy but we actually have a ton of bottom pairing RHD on the roster you're right it wouldn't make sense to trade for him.
