I understand the rationale behind the $4m AAV for Nolan.. but that term is a bit of a stretch. He's a shell of his former self, mostly due to an injury riddled start to his career. Could be a similar player to a Ryan Kesler if he is able to stay fit, but it's too much of a risk signing him to that deal for more than a year or two max. You'd also think Vegas would ship out a big contract to retain his services if its a 4 x 4 given that they gave up Cody Glass (6th overall in 2017) to acquire him. Best bet would be to offer a one year or two year deal at that cap hit as that would make it tougher for them to retain all of their FA's that offseason. A 4 x 4 deal would be more advantageous for Vegas, otherwise I love that move!
