Caps pass. Strome is a good middle 6 center, not a top 6 center and if you're giving up an elite skill player like Kuz you better get at op 6 center in return.

They have McMichael who projects to be a Top 6 center as well as Protas who could be the eventual Eller replacement. Trading for another center isn't a necessity. I'd like to see Kuznetsov moved for a LHD and a pick.

We have a million LHD. If you move Kuz it better be for another top 6 center or a high pick/prospect or something to flip for a top 6 center.

We have Orlov, a half broken Kempny and 2 rookies on the left side of the defense. Not exactly a position of strength.

Fehervary and Alexeyev (and potentially Nardella) are all NHL ready, it's just a matter of Lav playing them.

Nardella is 5'9" so I highly doubt he'll be an everyday NHL defenseman. Getting Kempny back is like getting a toy for Christmas without batteries so you don't know if it will even work. Alexeyev probably needs another half season in Hershey. No point in rotating a bunch of rookies in and out of the lineup when they could be getting regular ice time with the Bears.

Size means nothing. Nardella thrived in the SHL last season and that's the 3rd best league in the world. Not saying he will thrive in the NHL but his size doesn't mean he won't.

Alexeyev played #3 roll in the KHL last season, the 2nd hardest league in the world. He's NHL ready. Though I don't mind if he cooked 1 more year in Hershey.

I have no problem going to get another LHD, but I'm not paying Kuz to get one.
