I like the trade for Boyle. We need a better 4th line C plus he has good size and lots of playoff experience.
I would not trade Holden. He can play both sides, usually gets the 2nd most minutes, is good defensively and surprisingly good offensively.
Shatty will cost nothing July 1st and even then we'd have to move a big salary to get him. I doubt we move that much for him now. Maybe a lesser deal for a Franson or other UFA D who can add depth.
I hope we stay in the first wildcard spot for the playoffs.

Not bad at all, may be a little too much for shat if he wants to re-sign here anyways. Feel like Holden with 1 year left at 1.65m especially draft wise, that he may be worth more than Smith. Feel like can move a 4th with a kid pick for him, and get better picks back for Holden maybe a 3 and something? Also feel like maybe Klein won't be involved and he can get a 2 and 3 or 2 3rds somewhere else.

Agree to an extent but with Hank getting near the end, unfortunately nobody knows what his future will be if he regresses. I think due to that reason, Gorts will go all out into fixing the D and recouping some prospects and see if the offense is good enough. If not, the draft may see a few top 6 shakeups and go for it next year while keeping a better D in tact.
