Fairly basic here. Domi starts on IR and then becomes 2C once he's back.
I think Domi and/or Gus can be guys the team looks to move at the deadline depending how they play and what the demand is.
Didn't think too hard on the lines, but I do like the PP units quite a bit (on paper at least....they always look better on paper)
This blue line is really tricky. Del Zotto very much wants to return, and he'd be a good locker room guy, but Carlsson and Peeke both need minutes so the team can figure out whether they're a part of the future or not. I'd imagine we get some kind of rotation between Kukan, Peeke, Del Zotto, and Carlsson between the final 2 D spots.
I think a Korpi trade still happens and they either sign a vet for 1 year to backup Elvis or they bring in Tarosov if they think he's ready, but not sure what route they'd go so just leaving that as is for now.
Other contract stuff
*Laine - 1 year at his QO, 1 year deal seems to be the right route for both sides. Give him a full year here with new(ish) coaching and both sides reevaluate next summer
*Texier - Still think he's got a lot of upside. Has had some issues with injuries, but I think he'll be able to put together a solid year. Maybe the money sould be a bit lower, but I'd like to get him with a bit of term cause I think he'll show to be well worth it and save money down the line
*Elvis - Can't do anything here, but I'd make a strong push to get him extended in the coming months. He's expressed his desire to stay here and sure seems to be genuine about it. I'd try to get a 3-4 year deal done if possible, maybe somewhere around 5 mil, but the goalie market is kind of hard to judge.
Basically any team that needs a 7th D that's not absolute steaming garbage. (Making room for the youngsters, guys like Carlsson and Peeke need ice time so we can figure out if we have anything with them)
