Gourde is a cap dump for Tampa. Tampa is not getting Evans and a 1st. You get a 2nd at most

Yeah cap dump isnt the word. Gourde isnt a cap dump, but he's in a situation where his team has 0 leverage and needs to clear salary, i.e. cap crunch team. Therefore Tampa will not get much value not because of the player, but because of the situation. Gourde would be a cap casualty

LOL.. NO .. for the billionth time for folks that don't understand business 101 .. NHL teams will pay a MARKET rate for a trade/player and they compete against what the MARKET bears .. It is not 1 on 1 negotiations with Tampa .. each team is different from a talent, evaluation, cap etc .. standpoint .. the objective for Habs or any team is to do what best for their team related to the other 30 teams.. not just Tampa ...please think this through.. exception here is Seattle which is a 1-1 and Tampa does have little leverage
