      The 3rd round pick doesn't guarantee that he signs in TOR. So, based on what you are telling me, if teams are going to offer more than what you have proposed here, why would Landy sign here?

      Typically teams trade for players rights so that they can offer the extra year on the deal that other teams cannot.
