I think Lamoriello likes Zajac, and resigns him to keep that third line together. However, it was a non-factor against Tampa, so it is possible he doesn't get signed and Bellows or Dal Colle take his spot on the roster.

In this deal, Seattle selects Eberle. The third is helpful in that portion of the deal. The second helps get rid of Komarov, a veteran presence who is good on the third line. I think his playing on Barzal's wing for a large portion of the season over guys like Palmieri and Wahlstrom helps his value, at least a little.
