      Yeah major underpayment for Drouin. With the contract he got Tampa would just accept an offer sheet and take the 1,2,and 3 round draft picks. Not happening for that price. Maybe if you give up a 1st, 3rd, and Ratanen they would listen

      Jonathon Drouin was the #3 overall pick in 2013 draft and Tampa only receives a 2nd rounder for him get real. Not even close to being value for Drouin.

      Tampa is in a rough spot for the forwards since they have 3 RFA and not enough money to pay them. They will have to get rid of one of them and trading for the rights is the best way. Giving up more picks for Karlsson or Drouin would be totally justified.

      No, those deals are horrible for TBL and OTT. Your value is way off. I mean Barrie and a potential top6 winger for one of the best dman in the league? 5/7th round picks are essentially lottery tickets, you pray they become at least regular NHL players.

      I suggested Avs 2017 1st (assuming top 2, so Nolan/Nico) for Drouin, and TB fans were still somewhat hesitant, as were some Avs fan.

      As for Karlson, there's nothing the Avs have that would get him, unless you do something like 2017 1st, Mackinnon, and EJ, but that would cripple the Avs.
