Bickell's contract is worse than you think. A late first rounder (about 1/3 chance of drafting a future NHLer), isn't enough for the Jets to convince them to take $4m off their own cap ceiling and giving that extra space to a division rival.

You'd need to retain some salary. Or take back Clitsome or Mark Stuart.

Anyway it doesn't matter because Bickell isn't waiving his NTC to go to a place like Manitoba.

Should have specified that the trade is with Winnipeg as a placeholder. I'm saying move bickell somehow with some form of draft picks and retain some salary probably.

Retain 1 mil of Bickell. Sign Kruger to long term 2.3 mil and go with a 22 man roster. I know Q likes the 23 man roster but he might be okay with 22 if this is the case.

Yeah, if you can get Bickell off the books completely, then this would really be an ideal lineup.
