Like the overall philosophy a lot. Not a huge Eakin fan (profiles more as a 4C than 3C to me), but that's a good trade to open up space.

Yeah depending on the Beagle situation, a guy like Eakin would be useful as a great 4C. His faceoff percentage is great and he has decent analytical stats too which is why I feel he can do good with offensive-oriented wingers in Pearson and Leivo. If we indeed have to put him on the 4th line, a possible buy-low candidate for the Canucks 3C option could be Lucas Wallmark, as he can be had for south of a million against the cap. If Benning is GM he can't match cause he'll run out of time but in any other case, VAN would get Petey done before the FA market opens. Seeing as though Barzal got 3x7 I see it fair that Petey gets a 3 year bidge deal with a $21.5 million total cap hit

Good trades, definitely a better team than last year. Not giving up much either which is nice. You’re one player over the roster maximum so youd have to bury some one in the minors. Probably Gadjovich.
